The Story: A Contemporary Dong Son Drum
Inspired from the Bird Wings in Pininfarina’s logo, we feel the connection with Lac Hong bird wings carved on Dong Son bronze drums of the Old Ages of Vietnam. Currently, Lac Hong bird wings are still beautiful, powerful and containing many historic national values. This rooted of creating a building as a new metal drum of Current Age housing new Lac Hong bird wings, and it is called a Contemporary Dong Son Drum. Transforming the bird wings and combining with the men’ feather hats decorates on Dong Son drum made a heart-shaped drum which is enveloped with a building skin of aluminum tubes. This is not only a new metal drum but also a heart beating up the whole Vietnamese economy for the past years and in future, especially the Vietnamese auto producing industry.
Curvy lines are dominated the outside and inside by its boundless appearance, accompanied with bright colors of the innovation. Showroom interior are also inspired by the Bird wings and Dong Son feather hats decorates. Reception desk and Lounge sofas were made by layering blue Wings, Floor was imprinted with two blue curvy lines dividing display spaces to the others.
